In the garden and in the beginning, the Woman has a Man who adores her, but she yearns for someone just enough like her to make her feel really comfortable and just different enough to make things really interesting. And so God creates for the Woman—a Sister, and gives them dominion over the playground and the thrift store and the telephone, allowing them to trade fig leaves and jeans and sweaters, and to create a bond that they both pronounce to be very, very good.
